Signe Sylvester works at the intersection of artists, institutions and private clients as an independently art advisor and consultant.

As an art advisor and consultant Signe Sylvester does not represent artists or operate from a fixed inventory. Instead, she draws on her extensive network of independent artists across Denmark to create carefully matched solutions for private homes, businesses and institutions.

Her independence ensures that every recommendation is based solely on context, quality and alignment. Never on sales obligations.

Professional background

Signe Sylvesters professional background spans both sides of the art ecosystem. From 2015 to 2018, she ran a small independent gallery, gaining first-hand insight into the commercial art structure and the dynamics between artists, buyers and representation.

Since 2018, she has worked closely with independent artists as a career advisor and educator, supporting them in developing sustainable artistic practices and professional strategies. This ongoing collaboration provides her with a rare understanding of artistic processes, motivations and economic realities.

In addition, she has served as Head of Artist Relations in a startup context, where she curated and coordinated commissioned art projects e.g. for Fenrishus, an institution for children and young people with brain injuries. The project required not only aesthetic sensitivity, but also ethical awareness, dialogue with stakeholders and an understanding of institutional frameworks.
